Carbon Fibre
Curley Specialised Mouldings have been manufacturing carbon fibre components since 1990 and continue to produce products for end users and the motorsport industries.
We can manufacture your components using vac bagging, techniques or just wet lay, using epoxy-vinyl ester or polyester resins. Vac bagging as it's known, means to place the mouldings into a bag and using a vacuum pump, extract the air, which consolidates the laminated component, providing an end product which is a lot lighter and stronger in construction than wet lay manufacturing.
Carbon fibre is a material consisting of extremely thick fibres and is used to create a yarn, which may be wound. This when combined with a plastic resin can be moulded to form the composite material known as carbon fibre reinforced plastic (carbon fibre) which provides a high strength-to-weight ratio material.
